Day 361 Ever wonder what lives in chair seams?
Yuck.
And on second thought...how interesting. Just think what all that dust (?) represents. Twenty-five years of living. If I could analyze it, I'd find pieces and parts of family and friends all through the years. Dinners. Parties. Discussions. Projects. Pets. A snapshot of all my life is in that...yucky stuff!

Day 345 Tuesday
I'm back in Charlotte...sort of. I'm sitting here looking at the photos from this weekend and feeling desperate to capture the essence of my childhood homeplace before it is gone. My siblings could all take one look at this photo and burst out laughing. This little building was once our wash house, where the washer and dryer lived. It is the focal point of one of our family's funniest stories....but the story itself depends on which family member tells it.
Day 344 Monday
Day 343 Sunday
Sunday I walked with my mother and nephew. It's amazing what time does. When I was young, the woods and hills and trees looked so different! It is the same place, but not the same. First it completely grew over, sort of like in Sleeping Beauty, but now some of it has been bulldozed to clear the undergrowth and expose the property lines...in preparation for selling the land. The woods, the hills, the pastures will all most likely become a subdivision.
The might stalking cat, Blue, followed us everywhere. Apparently he goes wherever my nephew goes. Certainly he tramped the hills and dales with us.
