Day 331 Tuesday
I can't seem to stop taking pictures of trees. As I drove along today, I saw beautiful red trees against an incredible blue sky. This photo, snapped from my car window, doesn't do it justice. I suppose because I thought we were not going to have fall color at all, the late explosion has been especially wonderful for me. I don't want to miss any of it!

Day 329 Really Creepy
Honestly, I have some photos from our day at the zoo that make my stomach feel squishy! This fellow is a Gaboon Viper, and was barely noticeable until you really looked close. When I first saw the head, I thought it was hidden under a leaf, but no. That's the well camouflaged head!

Day 319 Thursday
We really did get a tad of rain last night; I saw a little puddle this morning!

I don't know why this sight "struck" me, but I like this photo a lot! It got windy today, and these leaves were all swirling around when I left for work.

Each time I leave my apartment, I think how pretty the drive has gotten. I thought we were not going to have much color here, then it seemed to just bust out all over!

Day 317 Tuesday
Repair or not? These dining room chairs are over 20 years old, and the seats are about to fall apart. The wood is solid, and if I replaced my table/chairs it would not be with this quality (which would mean easier to move, for one thing!). Professional re-caning would be $130 per chair (I have six) so is not an option. I've been waffling for months (it would be shame to get rid of them), but it is only a matter of time before a guest falls through.

Day 313-315 Busy Weekend
I had all sorts of projects in line this weekend.
I took time out to contemplate today's painting...this is from the early birthday present I bought myself....a painting (and quote) per day.
And when I couldn't stand the cabin fever any longer, I made a quick trip to the food court for a wrap I love, and at least the sight of another person...and discovered to my astonishment (and horror) that Christmas has already arrived at the mall (Santa was even there already).

Day 312 Novel Writing Month
November is the month to write a novel, and although I can't undertake that project, I have begun the long delayed task of more permanently recording all the letters we wrote/received while in Germany. These are the notebooks of letters received, and as I've begun typing them, I feel I am living in a time warp. Lauren is a baby. My father-in-law is alive and well. Bibba is very much alive and writing hilarious letters. My siblings are young and still living at home. We are traveling Europe. Life is really, really good.
